While I usually find cable documentary shows interesting and informative,
I’m getting really tired of the Mayan Calendar 2012 thing! It’s apparently
“Doomsday Month” on one of the cable channels and they are going on and on
about potential catastrophic events that could happen on Dec. 21, 2012.
To be sure there are some interesting facts they present, but I think this morbid
focus with “the end of the world” is just a ratings ploy, and as for me….I’m
pretty much “doomsdayed out!”
I suspect that you feel the same way! I would rather devote my attention to
things I can control and positive developments that will improve the quality of
life for us all. In fact, that’s what I strive to do with this newsletter.
I remember the last major sunspot activity we had was back in 2001, and as I
recall it had a minor effect on some satellites and cell phone communication, but
nothing “catastrophic” happened.
I anticipate that December 21, 2012 will be a day much like it has been throughout
the years, and the only “crisis” will be the mad last minute rush before Christmas, as
the procrastinators (like me) are scurrying around trying to get their shopping done.

True to my goal of offering you some good product recommendations for your
health, I have another gem for you. It’s one that you might have heard about and is
usually used by bodybuilders and other athletes. It’s called “creatine monohydrate.”
But creatine is not only for athletes and young people, but older people as well. In
fact it may be even more beneficial for people in their advancing years because it
helps maintain critical energy processes in your cells!
Studies have shown that 3-5 grams of creatine monohydrate per day are especially
good for people in middle age, to help safely boost energy levels. Normally you
would get some creatine in red meat, but many people restrict meat intake, and thus
don’t get enough creatine.
Creatine supplementation is a great way to get this energy building substance into
your system. It is a tasteless white powder that you can mix with juice, water, or in
a protein shake. This might even make a great “stocking stuffer” for Christmas!
Here is a link to my website article on creatine:
http://www.longevity-and-antiaging-secrets.com/creatine-supplements.html
You can purchase creatine monohydrate at any health food store or you can buy it
online. “German micronized creatine” is what you want. That is the best source. I
like to purchase my creatine from an online source called “Health-N-Sport.”
The owner of Health and Sport is Kim Carola. Kim is a mother of two, has a degree in
biochemistry, and is a personal trainer. She will be glad to answer your product
questions and help you pick the right product for your needs.

Although I have been a customer of theirs for years I have no affiliate relationship
with them, so I don’t get commissions when recommending their products. I just
think their products, service, and knowledge is first rate! Their prices are very
competitive as well.

In my last newsletter, I promised to share something that could help you make
some extra cash in addition to your full or part time job. Believe it or not, there are
many people doing just that on the Internet and it’s not all that hard once you know
how.
I put off publishing a newsletter for many years because I just didn’t “get it” in terms
of how valuable it could be. I found the whole concept intimidating and confusing,
so I didn’t pursue it. Recently I purchased a course recommended by a trusted
source (Sarah Staar).
The course was called Ezine Academy and was authored by a gentleman named
Martin Avis. Following Martin’s course enabled me to actually establish this
newsletter and start reaching a growing audience with it. Everything you could want
or need to know is included in this excellent course.
Most people who successfully do business online have a newsletter, and if you have
never thought of doing this yourself, or have considered it but didn’t know where or
how to start, I highly recommend Martin’s course. It allowed me to go from
absolutely refusing to do a newsletter because I had no idea of how to proceed, to
publishing a weekly newsletter with a growing subscriber base.
Here is the link: http://www.age-better.info/ezine-academy
I am very particular about how I spend my money and also what I recommend to
other people. It is important to me that when someone purchases something I
recommend it provides real value for them. Thus I feel comfortable recommending
Martin’s course, because it will show you in plain language how to successfully set up
and publish a newsletter. There is also a 60 day money back guarantee on this
product!
Check out Ezine Academy and let me know if you have any questions, or if you do
purchase, I would like to have your feedback. I was VERY impressed with the
quality of this product and I think you will be too!

Ok, I have a movie recommendation for you. This film which was adapted from the
novel by Carl Sagan, originally came out in 1993 and it seems like people either like
it or they don’t. I thought it was a bit tedious in the beginning, but the ending more
than made up for that. It stars Jodie Foster and Matthew McConaughey.
Jodie Foster’s character (Alley Arroway) is modeled after Jill Cornell Tarter, the
woman who began SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence). In the storyline a
transmission is received from an alien race, with instructions for building a machine
that would allow a person to travel through space-time to a distant alien world.
Here is a clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRoj3jK37Vc
Alley Arroway is chosen to go on this mission and ends up traveling through
space-time to a distant planet where she encounters an alien intelligence. After her
trip she is told that as far as anyone could determine she did not actually go
anywhere, and that she imagined the whole thing. She is then forced to defend her account of the “trip” in front of a Senate committee.
The scene in which she does that is a stunner, and really defines the meaning of the
word “faith.” I believe this film was beautifully acted by Foster, and did very much
have an emotional impact on me (I think there’s a pattern here -:D). It’s a film you
can watch with the whole family, as there is nothing objectionable in it. Check it out!
